Painting Studio

Welcome to the Painting Studio.  All paintings, unless otherwise noted, originally were painted as acrylic on canvas by Merv, and are available for purchase as reprints on canvas, matte paper, or glossy paper.  Canvas offers the most realistic and accurate reproduction, as its thicker and coarser texture provides an ideal medium for reproducing and seeing the intricacies of the brushstrokes and various layers.  Matte paper provides for a smooth and accurate, but more subtle reproduction free of distortion while glossy paper gives reproductions a shine, but also more potential for glare from light.
